For Students + Alumni

CONNECT 2014 will bring 50 diverse employers to the Leidy Atrium in the Brown Center on Friday, March 7 from 1-4 pm to represent a wide-range of regional art and design careers to MICA students and alumni seeking innovative internships and jobs.

A new addition to this year’s fair is an exciting alumni panel, The Intersection of Art and Science, featuring ambitious MICA graduates who work with the sciences.  The panel will feature:

Sneha Pai (Animation ’07), current graduate student and former Medical Video Game Artist and Animator for Medstar Health.

Aleksandra Bogunovic (Fiber ’12), Thermal Blanket Specialist, NASA.

Emily Shaw (Painting & Art History ’00), Simulation Consultant and Medical Illustrator, Simugreat.

Norman Baker (Photography, Education, Publications Design ’81), Director of Pathology Photography and Graphic Arts, Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Leading up to the fair, the Career Development center will host various educational programming to prepare students for the fair, including two Prepare for the Fair workshops on Wednesday, February 12 and Thursday, February 20. We will explain how to write strong resumes and cover letters, practice mock interviews, and advise how best to apply for jobs and internships.
