Full-Time Positions

Programmer/Developer (Museum Multimedia)

We are seeking a creative programmer interested in developing interactive experiences, multi-touch computer applications and multimedia environments for museums and other interpretive centers. This person will be an innovative, excellent technical problem solver with an understanding of user interface design. Museum experience a big plus.

Required:

  • College degree and 1 year minimum work experience with multi-touch or other interactive platforms
  • .NET development – WPF, C#, Silverlight
  • Extensive experience with multi-touch platforms
  • Proficient in Visual Studio, Expression Blend
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Working knowledge of A/V standards and formats

Extra Credit:

  • Flash action script and animation
  • Creative programming languages (i.e. Processing)
  • Experience with non-touchscreen/electromechanical interfaces
  • Design/animation skills
  • A/V experience

Interactives Engineer (Audiovisual, Exhibits, Electronics, Multimedia)

Quatrefoil Associates is seeking an experienced and creative engineer for developing electromechanical and electronic interactive museum exhibits and audiovisual (A/V) presentation systems. This person will be an innovative, excellent technical problem solver with knowledge of a wide range of applicable technologies. Museum experience a big plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Design audiovisual presentation systems for use in museum or visitor center environments
  • Specify audio, video, lighting and hardware components
  • Provide technical support and guidance to exhibit development teams
  • System level design and implementation of electronic and electromechanical exhibit components
  • Programming of microcontrollers for interactive exhibits
  • Configuration, integration, testing and installation of exhibits and hardware systems (travel may be required)

Required:

  • College degree and 3 to 5 years work experience in a related field
  • Extensive experience with show control, audiovisual and lighting systems, audio and video equipment for use in public spaces
  • Programming of Microcontroller (Arduino, Beagle Board, Raspberry Pi, etc.) based I/O systems, programming of DMX controllers
  • Working knowledge of A/V standards and formats
  • Working knowledge of computer systems (PC, Mac, Windows) and components
  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite of software

Extra Credit:

  • Creative programming languages (i.e. Flash, HTML, Processing)
  • Working knowledge of touchscreen based interactive systems
  • Working knowledge of audio and video editing software
  • Understanding of networked computer systems
