Bully Pulpit Interactive (BPI) is a marketing and communications agency based in Washington, DC and New York, NY. Founded by the digital team behind the ’08 and ’12 Obama campaigns, we now serve some of the biggest names in the corporate, non-profit and political arenas.

Candidates will have the unique opportunity to work with major political races, leading philanthropic organizations and corporations. Fellows will work closely with BPI staff in order to support an array of projects from advertising campaign and website launches, to content, email and social media strategy.

Graphic Design Fellowship

Marketing Fellow

BPI is seeking a full-time, paid fellow for the agency’s external marketing, communications and new business efforts. This is a great opportunity to see first-hand how a growing advertising firm is run and build experience with press outreach, conference and event organizing, sales and lead development. The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who wants to understand how the tech, advertising and political industries work in DC, Chicago and New York. This person will help to maintain BPI’s online properties, sales materials and bolster the agency’s outreach to reporters and conferences.

The position reports directly to the Director of Strategic Communications.

Specific responsibilities will include:

Collect press clips and daily monitoring of political, advertising, tech industries
Draft copy for social media updates for BPI on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn
Draft blog posts about industry trends
Assist with website updates – knowledge of WordPress is a plus
Perform data entry for tracking leads, press
Copy edit of proposals and power point decks
Deliver research ahead of proposal writing
Come up with proactive ideas about how to market the agency
