Intern Experience AARP Internships offer a combination of on-the-job training and an introduction to AARP’s culture and values. Interns are a valuable member of the AARP team from day one and contribute significantly to organizational initiatives that advance our strategic mission and vision. Internships are available through the organization, including our National Office in Washington, D.C. and our offices located in the states and U.S. Territories. AARP offers both paid and unpaid internships for students who are currently enrolled in degree seeking programs. Non-traditional internships are also available for returning professionals currently enrolled in a college course. Summer internships typically last 8-12 weeks. Year round internships can extend up to 12 months.
