Startup Maryland ( is a venture and startup ecosystem development initiative launched out of the Startup America Partnership.

Driven from within the community and Forged with Maryland Pride “By Entrepreneurs … For Entrepreneurs,” Startup Maryland strives to remain nimble and inclusive.

Startup Maryland works to connect innovation communities and rallies entrepreneurs, supporters and other innovation stakeholders around four main initiatives: Connection, Celebration, Coaching, and Capital while also bringing together entrepreneurs in a community of support to drive greater economic outcomes.

Asst. Video/Film Production+Editing

Entry-level Video Editing Internship working under the direction of Executive Producer and Film Editing teams from Startup Maryland and WithTheFilm. This initial project is related to the Pitch Across Maryland tour celebrating innovation and entrepreneurship.


Working understanding of Final Cut Pro X and/or Adobe Premiere editing systems.

After Effects/Motion experience a plus but not required.

Photoshop/Illustrator experience also a plus but not required

Venture for America is a nonprofit fellowship program empowering recent college graduates to launch their careers as entrepreneurs and revitalize American cities. After five weeks of training, VFA Fellows spend two years working for a startup in a U.S. city with an emerging startup ecosystem. Throughout the fellowship, they learn how to contribute to a high-growth business and gain access to mentorship, ongoing training, and the nationwide VFA community. When Fellows and alumni are ready to build companies of their own, VFA provides the resources they need to become entrepreneurs.

Our goal is to fuel job growth in cities throughout the U.S. while empowering our best and brightest to create value in their communities. We aim to produce effective and high-character builders who will found and lead quality organizations throughout their careers.

A college senior or recent grad of any major or academic background
