Co-op Intern – Designer

Corporate Marketing & Communications, Marketing Communications & Brand Identity

We are seeking creative, organized, high energy interns to be a part of the Creative team. The internship will provide qualified candidates with the exciting opportunity to be a part of a dynamic, award-winning in-house creative department. You will learn about the strategic and tactical marketing efforts that support a leading investment management firm. The group strives to create engaging, easy-to-understand communication materials across a wide spectrum if delivery systems.

In this position, you will work under the direction of a number of designers and art directors. Great mentors. Projects include: print communications (brochures, posters, magazines, etc.), full-blown communication campaigns, art directed photo shoots, video projects, web projects, and mobile projects. The projects range in levels of complexity as do the co-op’s role in each of them.

Responsibilities:

Design interns will be challenged to manage a variety of responsibilities. Interns will support teams on the development of promotional, educational and guidance materials directed to shareholders and investors. Interns will be active participants in creative brainstorming sessions with the creative group and larger corporate marketing groups. Other duties will include, but are not limited to, implementing design direction, managing art resources, providing thumbnail sketches, prototypes, production design, and comp development.

Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in an undergraduate program in design
  • Strong working knowledge of the following applications
  • Design Focused: InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Flash, After Effects, Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Dependable with a “roll up your sleeves/ can do” attitude
  • Ability to prioritize and problem solve * Intellectual Curiosity and initiative
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Illustration or Photography skills a plus
  • Team player.
